Overview
RangeTrain Pro is designed to operate without an account, advertising, third-party analytics SDK, or developer-operated cloud service. The app’s working data is stored locally on your device.
Information stored on your device
The app may store player names, firearm and accessory records, linked equipment, serial numbers, NFA designations and documents, service history, range-day plans, course and stage configurations, equipment checklists, target-zone entries, scores, timing results, shot splits, calibration thresholds, match history, and optional photos you choose to add.
Protected records
RangeTrain Pro can use Apple Local Authentication to protect NFA-designated records, documents, and serial-number access with Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. Biometric data is handled by iOS and is not available to RangeTrain Pro.
Microphone
With permission, microphone input is analyzed live on the device to detect sound impulses for shot timing and guided calibration. RangeTrain Pro does not record, retain, or transmit microphone audio. Only derived numeric thresholds, detected times, and shot splits may be saved locally.
Camera and photo library
Camera access is used only when you choose to take an Armory item photo or optional final paper-target photo. Photo-library access is used only when you choose an existing Armory image. Final target photos are stored locally with Match History and are not analyzed for shot placement.
Purchases
The optional upgrade is processed by Apple through StoreKit. RangeTrain Pro receives purchase entitlement information from Apple but does not receive or store your payment-card information.
Sharing and tracking
RangeTrain Pro does not sell personal information, track you across apps or websites, or transmit app records to the developer. Information is shared only when you deliberately use an iOS sharing or export function.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains on the device until you reset the relevant records, delete content in the app, or remove the app. Device backups may be governed by your Apple and iCloud settings.
Children
RangeTrain Pro is not directed to children and is intended for lawful use under appropriate adult, instructor, and range supervision where required.
Changes
This policy may be updated when app functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date and applicable app version will be revised on this page.
